HOUSTON (A1 Poster)
HOUSTON
by Svenja Kirsch
Convincing Svenja Kirsch, friend and Hamburg based artist, to choose more than one colour and suceeding in neither of them being black is a worthy excuse to use this down-to-earth sci-fi combo in one A1. Stepping outside and not being in danger of catching a dangerous virus seems like a privilege we forgot to cherish when we had it – in the same way stepping outside and not ex/imploding due to unbearable loss or gain of pressure seems normal, despite it being so not normal anywhere else in the universe. This does not make anyone feel particularly thankful (nor should it) and yet HOUSTON transfers both a weirdness and a heaviness from the questionable privilege of everything not exploding. We repeat – everything is not exploding. Or is it?
